Colt Talent is committed to protecting your privacy. You can visit most pages on our website without giving us any Information about yourself. However we do need Information to provide services that you request, and this Privacy Statement explains data collection and use in those situations. “Artiste” means a person who has registered themselves on our Site(s) as a background artist, featured extra, or performer. “Hirer” is someone looking to book an Artiste via Colt Talent. “Content” means the information and other material or applications within our Site(s). “Services” means services provided by Colt Talent that may be made available by us from time to time. “Site”, “Site(s)” means the sites located at www.colttalent.com or www.cabssystem.com. “You”, “you”, “Your”, “your”, User”, “Data Subject” means you the person, firm, company or organization browsing and/or using the Site(s). “Us”, “us”, “We”, “we”, “Our”, “our”, “Responsible Party”means Colt Talent.COMPLIANCE WITH THE PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION ACT, ACT 4 OF 2013 AS AMENDED (PoPI ACT) This Privacy Policy Statement is subject to the PoPI Act and requires the implementation of the Eight Conditions for the Lawful Protection of Personal Information in terms of the Act.

Personal Information collected by the Responsible Party often on our contact page is limited to name, e-mail address, phone number, country or location, but will include other Information when needed to provide a service you requested or when you register with Colt Talent via the registration section of our website. Colt Talent also collects certain Information from your computer hardware and software. This Information may include: your IP address, browser type, operating system, domain name, access times and referring website addresses. This Information is used for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the Responsible Party’s website. Colt Talent also collects Information about which pages our customers visit within our Web. This website visitation data is identified only by a unique I.D. number, and it is never linked with Personal Information unless a user consents as described below. We may use third parties to help process your information as part of the intention of booking you work. We may collect and aggregate information with selected third parties. You consent to us using information provided by you (including, without limitation, sensitive personal data) in each of these ways. We will process any data which you provide in completing online registration or application forms and any further forms, assessments or personal details, which you complete or provide to us when using the Site(s) in accordance with South African data protection legislation. Transfer outside of South Africa: Personal information comprising your details may be accessed through the Site(s) by third parties or sent by us electronically to third parties outside South Africa. This could happen for instance if a production or crew member reviews your details where the production or crew member is based outside South Africa or if any of our servers are based outside South Africa. For Users looking to be introduced to work via Colt Talent, the following shall apply: a) Colt Talent shares relevant information (including user photos, contact details and worker information) with hirers and production companies. b) When a User is confirmed on an engagement, Colt Talent will share compliance information on a need basis with the Hirer. c) On termination of a User’s registration with Colt Talent, we will keep the User’s contact and compliance information for as long as required by law or where necessary for Colt Talent’s business process. We will merge site-visitation data with anonymous demographic Information for research purposes, and we may use this Information in aggregate to provide more relevant content. In some limited-entry sections of the Responsible Party, with your approval, we will combine site-visitation data with your Personal Information in order to provide you with personalised content. If you decline permission, we will not provide you the personalised service and won’t merge your Personal Information with site-visitation data. We occasionally hire other businesses to provide limited services on our behalf, including packaging, mailing and delivering purchases, answering customer questions about products or services, sending postal mail and processing event registration. We will only provide those businesses the Information they need to deliver the service, and they are prohibited from using that Information for any other purpose. Colt Talent may disclose your Personal Information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to: 1. conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on the Responsible Party or the website(s); 2. protect and defend the rights or property of the Responsible Party and its website(s); or 3. act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of the Responsible Party’s employees, users of our products or services or members of the public.CONTROL OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
When you register, or otherwise give us Personal Information, the Responsible Party will not share that Information with Third Parties without your permission, other than for the limited exceptions already listed. You will be asked to enter your username and password before viewing your Personal Information. On the CABS System page you can view and request to edit Personal Information you have already given the Responsible Party; Some services offered on the Responsible Party’s website may collect Information that is not accessible via the Home or Profile page. However, in such cases, you can access your Personal Information by contacting the Responsible Party as described at the bottom of this statement.SECURITY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Colt Talent is committed to protecting the security of your Personal Information. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your Personal Information from unauthorised access, use or disclosure. For example, we store the Personal Information you provide in computer servers with limited access that are located in controlled facilities. When we transmit sensitive Information over the internet, we protect it through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. Colt Talent has an agreement with CABS (Complete Artiste Booking System) to provide Colt Talent, software for booking and managing our artistes profiles. For the purpose of The Protection of Personal Information Act 2013 (POPIA) CABS is the data storer but ultimately the information is owned by Colt Talent. CABS acts as a data controller for Colt Talent. 1) We take a number of steps to protect your information from unauthorized access, use or alteration and unlawful destruction, including where appropriate: a) Limiting access to the information we collect about you (for instance, only those of our employees who need your information to carry out our business activities are allowed access). b) Putting in place physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards in line with industry standards. 2) All personal data collected will be processed for no longer than necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected and processed initially, unless otherwise required or authorized by applicable law.USE OF COOKIES
When someone visits our website, a cookie is placed on the customer's machine (if the customer accepts cookies) or is read if the customer has visited the site previously.
